Join panelists from within and outside the U.S. government to discuss the changes to declassification policy and practice since 2009 as well as the further changes that will be required to ensure access to an expanding universe of classified U.S. government records in the coming years. The speakers discuss the work of the National Declassification Center, the roles of the Interagency Security Classification Appeals Panel and the Public Interest Declassification Board, and the problem of unauthorized disclosures in clouding the public’s confidence in the classification system.
